The border crossing was effortless on both sides, so it Montenegro here we come .Images of 007`s Casino Royal are present in our minds and that’s all they are. Unfortunately this country is very untidy, with litter, broken down houses and cars are everywhere. Even the roads are a mission and seriously uneven. and have Fritz`s 4.5kpa 200kg tyres bouncing everywhere and its as bad in the cab. We decide to take the ferry to Kotor, and by doing so also miss out on the capital. So it’s push on to the boarder of Albania 110km ahead, and see what happens. Again the border post was straight through we were still looking for the Albanian side a km later, that’s how quick it was. Now the Albanians apparently haven’t been driving all that long, and it shows. there are smashed cars all over the place and between the garages that have bars in them you can fill up with both, these guys drive like maniacs I even had Fritz`s tyres screeching at one point as they don’t indicate or brake until it’s time to turn…we eventually find a camp site after a 45min drive through the back roads outside Durres. Run by a very nice Italian who spoke French, German Albanian no English?? Luckily for us there was a very nice French couple and a single German and a British couple so no language barriers here and it’s funny how I could understand more the more Raki I drank!!.
