16th May 2011

I have to be at the Harbour in Iraklion at 08h00 to hand back the car and catch the ferry to Santorini I would of slept like a log except for the mosquitoes attaching me at 02h30 so there was a bit of wall slapping and a couple of blood spots for direct hits… the ferry was a high speed job and we were in the Santorini harbour in 2.5 hrs. I have decided to stay for two days as I need Wi-Fi to catch up and it’s a nice laid back place. I hire a Suzuki Jeep and set off to find accommodation, this island is 11km long and has 70 km of coast line and I still managed to take a wrong turn. I am never lost just on a different road that’s what so great traveling around if I didn’t take that road then I would never of seen what I saw in this case two very tired Norwegians out in the 35deg sun they were melting so I stopped and gave them a lift to their hotel and hey I have accommodation 4 star at a good rate on the black sand beach…the Romanian Bar maid recommended the sun set at Oia and it was defiantly worth the 7km drive.
